Hey Blumpkin, where did you find out about this?  I'm already a GCU member, but I read that subscriptions stack - and i could definitely take another 2 years for only $30

Just pre-ordered my first amiibo.  Amiibo or amiibos?  WHat's the plural?  I've heard it both ways...

Anyway, I grabbed Toon Link, Shiek and Mega Man because...well, because I'm a sucker for anything Zelda and MM.  I also ordered Meta Knight because the figure looks Bad. Ass.  

Also, I didn't realize the 20% off Gamers Unlocked worked with these.  That is pretty boss.

Canadian Meta Knight Amiibo Preorder.

Though I managed to order a Meta Knight from Bestbuy.ca when it went up, I just pre-ordered two more from Future Shop, just to be safe. I had no idea they were going to offer them, but they are owned by the same company that owns Best Buy here in Canada. Thanks for that, larry!

Why did I pre-order two, you ask? Well, I get free shipping if I do that! That way, I can keep one, and return the other (or offer it to a needy TCPer). Pretty clever!

I also ordered Meta Knight because the figure looks Bad. Ass.

Oh, also Bill Trinen from Nintendo answered a twitter question asking about the plural form of amiibo. It is indeed just "amiibo". Or maybe it was Reggie...

2) Buy one from one of the euro Amazon sites.
3) Wait and hope that Nintendo gets around to making more.

I got a bunch of emails this morning too about my order...although it was a bit strange that I would get seperate emails for different characters.  But anyway, everything was cancelled.

Fortunately though, Lucario preorders are still being taken at toys r us except now they only allow 1 to be preordered.  I tried to do 2 but it stopped me right away and adjusted the cart.  No big loss though...I'm just more upset at the fact that it seems like they did this so people didn't take advantage of the buy 1 get 1 40% off...cause if they're still taking preorders I see no reason why anyone's was cancelled.  Guess I'll be going to gamestop or best buy now since they didn't raise the msrp by a dollar

My Luigi just got cancelled too. He was the only one I had left ordered from Amazon during their 3 for $30 a few weeks ago. Hopefully everything I had on Amazon is safe. Still waiting on Pit and Captain Falcon from them but I guess I have to start hunting Luigi down in the wild. JUST GREAT.

Just last night there were some folks on CAG talking about how TRU is the place to go for amiibo, and now this. Every time that I've gone into TRU they've had a tiny section compared to Best Buy.

I've only preordered wave 3 figs, and none of them were from TRU. My few other amiibo pick ups have been at Best Buy and Bull Moose.
