I got $222 in overdraft fees on some small last minute purchases 
I just saw it, I got them 2 days ago, I'm going to the bank and cry to see if I can get it back, first time offense.

Overdraft fees piss me off so bad! If they went ahead and fronted the money then I could understand a fee, but to charge a fee and decline whatever overdrafted makes no sense. It's like they charged you $25 (in my case) to say no.

My paypal recently reverted to an old bank account and I ended up getting some overdrafts as a result.

The best trick we've found (wife and I) is to pay for everything with the credit card, then just write one check at the end of the month (for the CC).  Haven't bounced a check in MANY years. Then, even if you do, it's just one check, and not multiple overdraft fees.

My pick ups,  Christmas edition.

Starting off with my amiibo collection. My wife actually got me a bunch of them, mostly finishing my wave 1 and 2 figs.



I wasn't the only one to get collectable gaming miniatures though. I bought my wife Disney Infinity 2.0 and a crap ton of figures to go with it.



Lastly is the awesome version of the Xbox One that I got. I had presumed that the box was either an Xbone or Wii U, turned out to be an Xbox.



And just to show it again, the awesome blanket that my wife crocheted for me.

It's a good thing to have no matter what. Great for emergencies, probably the easiest and fastest way to build a credit history, safer than carrying cash, etc.
