They started the Thanksgiving openings either last year or the year before. I was appalled. I went to a handful of Black Fridays in my entire life and can count on one hand as well the amount of things I've purchased as a result.

But when they announced the whole Thanksgiving thing I was shocked and vowed not to go. Nevertheless, I did go to one store the night of last year because the wife wanted to go since some of the in-laws were going, and we went checking for a few baby items.

This is the first year in 5 years we haven't gone out at all.

I look forward to Cyber Monday, but even then I'm not too excited. I've learned over the years that some of the best deals are spontaneous, and I'm a very picky buyer anyway so the things I want are rarely on sale.
That, and the wife had started couponing this year (not "extreme") and that saves us tons of money and has helped her to realize that the Black Friday deals really aren't that great deals as they advertise.

Anyone know any good deals for Wii U and PS3 games and controllers?

I've been looking at this website lately and they stay really current on the latest deal. Cheap ass gamer is good, but this seems like the best site for deals that I've found:

Wow, you braved the supermarket?   Been watching the footage on TV.  Complete mayhem.

It makes me laugh how Black Friday suddenly appeared in Europe.  Most people don't even know the significance. Lol.  I actually went to a supermarket here in france - we had 30% off everything in the wine aisle.  All very civilized. Lol.   Spent around 160 euro on wine before the discount.

It's actually quite funny, the Tesco I went (Salisbury) everyone was civilized, the odd one might bump into you, but there was no fighting, no stealing, no que jumping, it was actually pleasant

I had no further plans to spend on games this year, but when I saw some good deals for stuff I didn't want to pay full retail price, I couldn't resist :P

PS3 stuff
The Evil Within - Including fighting chance pack
Grand Theft Auto V
Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition
Prince of Persia Trilogy "HD" (funny fact, I just bought the 3 games on Gamecube YESTERDAY, didn't knowing this compilation existed)
Tom Clancy Splinter Cell "HD" (just 4,97$)
Bioshock Infinite Complete Edition (that one was full price! I think it's quite recent)

3DS
Legend Of Zelda Link Between Worlds --- had the digital version, but always knew I would end up buying the physical someday

Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Deluxe (PS4) for $50 for my Daughter. Just need to get her the Frozen pack and some other kits for her and I to enjoy together.

Also picked up Grand Theft Auto 5 and Little Big Planet 3 on PS4, but these aren't Black Friday offers since they were full price.

I mean just general Black Friday "week" shopping.  I would never go out on actual Black Friday, that's a death sentence.  All my shopping was done by Wednesday night.  God bless the internet.

Only because I happened to be driving around at midnight did I end up in any stores having sales. It wasn't my intention, but I ducked into Target...

I ended up buying a PS4 controller and The Evil Within. Controller was 35 and the game was 25, which is pretty good for a game that came out a month ago.

Just got the PS4 version of Walking Dead season 1. Third time buying that game, but OCD requires that I own both seasons on the same platform.

Just grabbed a few of these bundles. Pretty cool if you like mystery boxes and are in the US

(2 games, a shirt, and 3 mystery items) I bought 3 and used a free shipping code. probably a better deal for me since I'm a premium member (I get a extra bit off. like $4 each) only thing that sucks is you can't pick shirt size. Will probably be giving some out as gifts I imaginable.

I don't shop on Black Friday.  I relax.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."
