Thanksgiving means turkey, football and online sales on pretty much everything.  So what game related swag did everyone buy?  I personally was disappointed by amazon's lightning deal games this year but whatever; i snagged a PS4 ebay/newegg deal last night for $330.  Didn't necessarily want to get it right now (lack of interesting games personally, besides DA:I) but too good of a deal to pass up.  I figured this is the cheapest it will be for a while.  Gamestop's FF13-3 is tempting for 19.99 but their "free shipping" isn't working even when my cart is greater than $25.  Hopefully amazon price matches!  Anyways, how'd you guys make out during your early holiday shopping?

I kind of went a little overboard.

Microsoft store had Xbox One Assassin's Creed Bundle for $329, plus a free game.  So I bought the bundle for a family member, and got Dragon Age Inquisition free for me.
I also grabbed Shadow of Mordor at best Buy for $20, Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition (already have the game, but this version has all the DLC) for $20 and Alien Isolation for $24.  Xbox One versions for all.  Currently watching the Amazon lightening deals for Killer Instinct.  I have the DLC version, but a disc version would be nice if the price is right.

Transformers 4 blu at Best Buy for $6 and Lord of the Rings Extended edition Blu collection for $30 at Amazon.

Black Friday isn't over yet...

13 Amiibos from Toys R Us.

The Site said "On ALL Amiibos" but series 2 is not accepting the deal in the cart. I called the 24 hour hotline, and the woman, who was very nice though had a thick accent, gave me a code for $5 off to give me the deal on Luigi. I was able to add one more, though the onter one I wanted was Zelda, a series 2 figure. I settled on Peach, I almost got Bowser. Bowser's Amiibo looks a bit small compared to the rest.

Amazon dropped their price of Final Fantasy XIII-3 to match gamestop (19.99) so i snagged that and then (and i hate myself for doing this since i already have the limited edition one) bought the FF X/X-2 remaster collector edition from the Square enix store (horrible shipping but I bought 2 and me and my buddy are going to split the cost) so we got two for the price of one basically.  I need to be done shopping.  My poor wallet.

I don't ever do Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Gray Thursday (or whatever ignorant thing they're calling it), etc.

Never really seems to be anything I care about, and I don't buy things just they're on sale.

And you.call yourself a collector Wiggy  :P

Anyway, I've done some digging and found nothing online I want, though GameStop seems to have a buy two get one free on used stuff under $20. I might get that when I get home.

I'm at work right now, there is no one in the supermarket, and I ran out of things to do in the bakery 1 hour ago, and I got another hour

I thought about a PS4 but there is nothing I want to play on it to justify the $400

Well I sure don't just collect games for the sake of collecting whatever is on sale. If I were, then I'd collect something a lot cheaper, like dandelion stems or some crap.

Also, I just saw that stores are starting sales today. The fuck?!  Man, if there's something worse than having to work retail hours, it's having to do so on a national holiday. That shit is just fucked up.  Retailers need to make some sort of pact to, I dunno, not be open on thanksgiving so everyone can get a damned break.  This country simply HATES the concept of time off from work. Just hates it.

Yeah, As I said I had work today from 1 - 7. I get time and 1/2 pay, but I would prefer to be home. The store was completely dead at 4, minus the 1 or 2 procrastinators who left it to let last second t buy the crap they need. The only day my store is closed is Christmas, and the big wigs is fighting that apparently. Thank you unions.
I guess you can kinda blame the consumers with this though, they are the ones willing to go in on Thanksgiving, and if they are buying the stores are selling.

I agree with Wiggy.  I want nothing to do with the day after Thanksgiving shopping.  In fact, I make it a point to get as far away from the shopping as possible.  I get with a group of guys and we go out for a big ATV ride.  Beer drinking and ATV mudding.  I can't think of anything better (other than video games ;))
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."
