OUYA Emulators
TDIRunner:
So I finally got around to trying some game hacks through my OUYA emulator. I'm specificly trying some of the Super Mario World hacks. However, I'm finding them to be unplayable because of the lag between the time I press the jump button and the time I actually jump. I'm trying to figure out what the actual problem is? Is it the OUYA, the controller, the emulator, the TV, or the actual game hack? What can be done to fix this?

I had a similar problem with my Retron5. If your TV allows it switch the video it to "game mode" and it should fix the lag :)

Thanks. That seems to help. I also checked Google after posting this and it recomended pairing a PS3 controller to the OUYA, which I did. It seems to be better now.
I'm guessing that it would be much smoother to play these through an Everdrive on a SNES with an SNES controller on and older tube TV.

Huh, that's pretty cool. I knew you could hook up the 360 controllers with the PC wireless adapter but i didn't know about the PS3 controller. This is making things very tempting to pick up an OUYA

I picked one up when they were on sale for $70. For that price, I'm happy with it, but it isn't perfect. My biggest complaint is the updates every time I turn the thing on. I'm glad that they are fixing things, but it seems like I can never just turn the thing on and play. But my PS3, and 360 are guilty of that as well so......
