--- Quote from: wiggy on November 09, 2014, 07:51:55 PM ---I like, though my only two gripes are the text on the back with the heavy shadow is a little hard on the eyes, especially when it gets really dense. The other thing that sorta bums me out is the complete lack of color in the spine. I feel like just a hint of color would really give these the little "oomph" they need to stand out. Hope you don't mind me putting in my .02 --- End quote --- When you print out the games physically it's not as bad, but I do see what you mean. I will probably use black text with a white stroke for the more dense back covers like Earthbound and leave the whtie text with a black stroke for the less dense backs like the mortal kombats. I see what you mean about color, though I like them being grey scale. I was considering figuring out the entire snes library, putting them in order according to alphabetical-ness, and assigning them a color so that as you get more and more games the Super NES side logo forms a gradient rainbow. But I didn't for a couple of reasons. 1. It becomes awkward where you put certain games alphabetically, do you put Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 in the U's or do you put it in the M's so it can be next to mortal kombat 1, 2, & 3? (I would put it with the M's, some would with the U's) 2. Yellow would be hard to see on a white background. 3. I'm not going for a full collection so it would look awkward on my shelf. 4. What do you do about Rom hacks and Reproductions that have been put on the snes? 5. I have no idea how to make a rainbow gradient and then divide it into the 780ish games that is in the snes library. |
