How do I play Japanese Games on Sega Saturn?
Einhander:
I am very interested, but don't know much about it. Would the best way be to buy a card or to just buy a Japanese console and make it play Amercian games? If anyone knows, let me know. I appreciate it.
Also one more question. How about for the PS1 and Genesis?

you need to offer up sport titles as a sacrifice and if your lucky the gods will unlock your system for you.
but all joking aside 2 ways you can do it with the Saturn Mod chip or Action Replay and some tape *this is for the swap trick*
PS1 depends on the model the PSX older system that has the I/O port in the back hunt down a old school game shark or somthing like it that plugs in the back and a spring.
Newer PSOnes mod chip or swap trick with some tape and paper
Genesis. Stone age gamer has the Ever Drive or you can find one of those 80 in One it has some good games but made cheap

this is how i play import games on Saturn http://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-4M-Plus-enhancement-sega/dp/B008FPMBNG
never played imports on ps1 but i have a disc called swap magic that i use to play imports on my ps2 i think it has a ps1 converter also but only for the ps2 hardware to play ps1 games
never played import genesis games but i recently for a retron 5 so if i see any i can play them on that lol

My favorite method for the Saturn is a mod chip coupled with patched rom files on CDRs. I just keep the the CDR on top of the legit disc in the jewel case. Less risk of scuffing the original discs as well :)
The PSone (small version) is VERY easy to mod. I would search a bit online and go that route. It's like an 8-wire job. Doesn't get much simpler for solder-in mods.
The genesis just needs a little plastic trimmed from the cart port. Again, search via google and you'll find what you need. Super easy.

Lol, well I like my sports titles too. Does the Saturn mod chip work with every Japanese game or just most?
Also, is just getting a Japanese Saturn a good option?
