I've created this thread to upload my cover edits that aren't being approved to replace the current covers. I only have a few so far, but I'll upload any major edits to the current covers. Just a few specks of dust are minor, whereas my major edits are covers that had noticeable tears, scratches, etc. Sometimes I can't edit them perfectly and sometimes the covers are so damaged I won't bother editing them in the first place. Anyway, I hope these will help some people.

Nobody said your edits wouldn't be accepted - it was more that it would be unlikely if it was just an edit from a low quality source (already hosted).  Whilst it may seem sensible to replace shit with less shitty shit, you have to understand that a submitted cover just goes into a huge queue of covers.  The covers in the queue are all treated with the same level of scrutiny to see if they are site worthy.  If they aren't perfect, they are deleted.  We have a hard enough time just going through the queue without checking back to whats already on the site to see if the submitted one is any better.

Back track would never be accepted as the source material was way too low quality to begin with - but I would say that bomberman tournament and Fire Pro aren't far away from meeting site standards.

You obviously appreciate the new standards we've adopted, as you're frustrated by the residual shit covers (I'm quite honestly embarrassed by some of my owm early work that made it to the site, and i would love to be able to delete them).  So please also appreciate the way we do things to make the site what it is.  I also make covers from low quality sources, and I do exactly what you've done here, and link them to my box.net - sure we could have covers for every game under the sun if we just wanted a place holder until something else comes along, but that's not what the site is about these days.  We want to be different from all the other cover sites, and only host ready to go covers.

Maybe someone could create their own alternative project - there seem to be enough people out there that don't like the way we do things...............

I made a mistake by not wording the first sentence of my post better. I already learned the main reason being that you don't have the means to remove entries from the database of covers. If I had written the first sentence better... well, just assume it was all a misunderstanding. I did say that I was happy to create new covers from a raw source, but I didn't find any for the games in my post. I wish I could upload my own but I can't for the sole reason that I use this site for cart only purchases I'm collecting. If I do find that any of my boxed games are not on here, I will scan them for the project.

I appreciate the way you do things, but I wish you were able to remove the shit covers. That said, I completely understand why it isn't possible and why many covers just act as placeholders until a higher quality scan is available. I'm just doing what I can for my own cart only games and trying to provide less shit versions for other people in my situation.

I'll see if I can find anything. It seems you don't have Lemmings for the CD-i so I'll try and get that scanned. (The only decent game for the system...)
