Who here owns the sd2snes?
I do but I'm curious to find out who else here does.

I sold most of my SNES collection and replaced it with an sd2snes. I love it, feels exactly the same when I play.

I'm in the market, but I will probably go with the regular Super Everdrive.

Can you confirm that SD2SNES does NOT have Game Genie support?

I have the Super Everdrive. I've considered the SD2SNES but couldn't justify the cost

I'm sort of in the same boat.  Also I just picked up a copy of Ballz 3D so I can at least have a DSP1 chip ready if I end up buying one.

The way I see it, AS OF RIGHT NOW, the SD2SNES only has access to 8 games that the Super Everdrive doesn't have assuming that you install the DSP1 chip on the Super Everdrive.  HOWEVER, that might change in the future.  They are working on Super FX which would add another 8 games and they are planning on S-DD1 and SPC7110 which would add 5 more games.  This of course doesn't include any repros or non-licensed games.

But if you buy the SD2SNES, you have to assume that the additional games might not ever happen.  So I'm sort of torn, but leaning towards Super Everdrive.

No, I meant BSX. ;)

But I just looked it up.  I wasn't aware SD2SNES had Satellaview support. 8)

SD2SNES also supports the new MSU-1 chip that was developed to allow SNES games to play CD quality audio and FMV video. Someone even made a hack of A Link to the Past with these features!

Now you have me wondering.  How does BSX work with the SD2SNES?  Is the Satellaview required?

Ugh.  I thought I had done enough research to decide that I didn't want to pay the extra money.  Now I have to think about it all over again.

Here's another question for you.  Since the SD2SNES doesn't offer Game Genie support (at this time) can you put the cart on top of a regular Game Genie and use it the traditional way?

I'm not talking about BSX right now.  Just with regular SNES games running through the SD card, through the SD2SNES, and through the Game Genie.  Would that work?
