I'm kinda curious about the various functionality of the different carts as well. Been considering grabbing one for the business so we can more easily test ROMs (we can flash them to new boards pretty quickly, but this would seriously speed that up, plus we wouldn't have to wipe the boards when we are done testing the ROM :) )

Have really only considered the SD2SNES since it seems to have the most compatibility, but I'm not really sure now which would make the most sense for me. It's the most expensive, and obviously I'd like to spend less money if possible.

Which website are you looking at?  I was looking at Stone Age Gamer and they seem to be pretty adamant about not offering discounts.

I seen a stone age gamer update on Facebook that said discount coupons now work on flash carts.

And it's retrogate that does black Friday and krikzz's forum that does the group buys.

It's a flashcart that let's you put ROMs on an SD card and play them on an original Super Nintendo without the actual cart for the game.

This, but a little more specifically, the SD2SNES is flash cart that has support for several enhancement chip SNES games.  A normal flash cart, such as the Super Everdrive, typically doesn’t have support for these types of games, or if it does, it will be much more limited.
