Well I decided to back this.  This will be my first Kickstarter contribution.  It seems very likely that they will reach their goal.  They only need to average $66/day to meet their goal and they've been averaging way more than that for the past week or so.  I pledged enough to get three cables sometime mid next year.  I figure I will use one for my SNES, one for my Genesis, and one for my Master System.  I hope it's worth it.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

According to their website, the cable that is meant for the model 1 Genesis will work on a Master System.

If you are good with soldering and you have about $60 burning a hole in your pocket, it can be done.

All righty, I found my composite cable for my PS2, plugged in the yellow jack into the Y/green port, and the screen came black and white. So that means it outputs 240p, right?

It means your TV can accept 240p over Component, yes.

Not necessarily. It means his TV can get a picture from 240p, whether its is correctly interpreting and scaling the signal or treating it as 480i is another matter entirely. But if you just want to play and arn't too worried about video quality, then that's fine.

Right. Both console's av ports output rgb already, there just hasn't been a cable that non-scart users can use.

Hm.  Doesn't look good for this LG owner.  My model isn't listed, but LGs don't look to be doing well.  Figured I wouldn't have any issues, as I've got a pretty nice TV, but I might have to do that test...

Right. Both console's av ports output rgb already, there just hasn't been a cable that non-scart users can use.

Most consoles AV ports output RGB already.

SNES mini don't, SNES 1chips (which are essentially minis still in the normal sized case, they were the last revision of SNES) don't, and I believe but am not positive that Genesis 3's dont.

It's possible to mod the SNES to restore RGB, but just wanted to throw out there -- it's possible your SNES might not work with these out of the box.

Got an SNES Mini. If I mod it for RGB then would these cables work? Currently the only TV I have is a Toshiba LCD and it'd be nice to have these cables to hold me over 'til I get a proper RGB monitor.
