Yes, what you said.  I tend to agree with pretty much 100% of it.

So yesterday at lunch a coworker and I were talking about AV cables and home theater setups.  I was talking about having all my consoles setup on one TV and how everything was “perfect” in my mind except for my GameCube which didn’t have the infamous component cable and how it was impossible to find now.  My coworker comes back with, “oh, I have one of those”.  I was of course skeptical and asked if it was the real Nintendo brand one and he replied back with “yeah, I had to order it straight from Nintendo”.  After telling him I hated it (jokingly of course) I told him he was lucky and that it’s worth a small fortune now.  Today I came in and this was sitting on my desk.

He said I could have it since it was just collecting dust.  I made sure he knew what he was giving up (he said he did look it up on eBay) but he insisted.  I showered him with thanks and told him how I had been looking for one forever to complete my perfect GameCube setup.  This is the first one I have ever seen in person and I still can’t believe it’s mine now!

Sometimes people are just awesome like that (though it is rare).  Congrats!

Went to a swap meet this morning.  There was one seller who I got a great deal from:

Aside from games, I also collect Transformers (surprise, right?) especially Megatron figures (again, duh).  So I was delighted when he sold me all of this for only $30!




And that is a GBA Action Replay!  I didn't even know they made these things!

I don't normally find anything good but I got Color a Dinosaur and Mag Max (good, clean labels) for $35 from a used record store (not Zia's).  Dude mostly sells LPs and turntables but he had some pretty good NES/SNES games.  They were overpriced (~1.5x the going rate on ebay/pricecharting) but he wants them gone so I offered 30 for CaD and he said sure.  Anyone in Las Vegas?  PM me and i'll share his secret location.  Had a ninja gaiden III, Contra, Castlevania, Zelda, Mario but I already have those so I left them for the next treasure hunter.  If he still wants them gone; offer him half of what he's asking and you're getting some cheap good games.

Got a pretty good price on this, and I knew I could get it pretty well cleaned up.  Getting closer to that complete set every day...

Always nice to see a good restoration. I bought a dirty transformers cart on the cheep thinking I could clean it. Sadly the sharpie stained it too much to clean.

My latest aquisitiond are all new games. Dragon age on ps4.  Two wiipro controllers. Smash bros and pokemon ruby.
