Ok...anyone shed any light on this:

PAL MD1/MCD/32X
PAL copy of Virtua Racing but NOT the 32X version...rather the MD version with the SVP chip inside.

Thing is it does not work. As i have a MD1 and had too butcher the RGB scart to hook it up to the 32X(some of its leads were missing when i bought it),i can plug it straight into the MD and can hear it through the headphone socket so i know it runs 'direct'.But plugged through 32X...nothing at all.So im wondering if its my copy of the game or is the cart not 32X compatable?

  • ...and that's the bottom line
I never owned or played anything on a 32X, so unfortunately I can't help you. Just wait for Tik to see this, I'm sure he knows. MD stuff is right up his alley :)

Sorry Grum - never managed to get hold of a 32x, so didn't know you could even run MD games with it in place.

Thanks for the flowers kaiser.... :)

To adress your problem grumble afaik Virtua Racing doesn't work on a Mega Drive/Genesis equipped with a 32X(I think it has sth to do with SVP chip inside the cartridge)... Just unplug the 32X and play it on your Mega Drive without it.... ;)

If you wanna do the real thing although I recommend buying the 32X version Virtua Racing Deluxe.... It's almost arcade perfect....
2 + 3 = 23

I have the Saturn version and thats pretty good but i have heard the 32X is less detailed but more accurate to the arcade version. Have not seen it first hand though.

I had the opportunity to buy a Virtua Racer arcade twin sit down cabinet in perfect condition for $250 but the wife wouldn't let me .... being 8 x 10 feet wide had something to do with it  :'(
