So yet another video game convention I attended. This time the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. This is my third year going to this event and holy moly was it packed! There was hardly any room to move on the first day! By far and away the biggest they have had so far and the largest I have personally attended over the years. I did notice though that there weren't as many deals as there were in past conventions, although there were a lot of cool vendors that were extremely flexible on their pricing, especially on the last day. But for every one good vendor there were about 10 terrible ones with outrageous prices even eBay would scoff at. This convention was so big that my camera died before I could get any pictures of the arcade and console section! Overall I had a great time and for some reason it gets harder to leave Portland every time I travel there (I think they put something in the water :)) Can't wait to go to next years.

Did any of you guys attend the convention? If so what did you think of it? Any interesting pickups?

Looks like fun.  I could walk around there for hours and even if I didn't buy anything due to high prices, I would still have enjoyed myself.  I wish we could get something like this around here.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Yeah same here. There's just something about video games where sometimes I don't even need to play them. Sometimes just being around them brings unexplainable joy.......
