Strange .... it is ... or was until I dumped my PAL stuff ... my favorite N64 game. Maybe it was because of the epic battles I had with my kids .... and the wifey sucked sooo bad at it we laughed ourselves silly at her antics...

It was just a query if someone had a loose spare cart. I'll buy one at some point ....

I know some people who still have that game. I could ask around if they would trade it for a beer or two since they all jumped on the PS2/GC/Xbox wagon and don't play that game anyway :) Would be a PAL version though...

I don't understand it either because I think it's the worst of the Mario Kart series. I sold it to a friend 3 days after I bought it. I'd take Diddy Kong Racing over Mario Kart 64 anytime or rather play the excellent SNES/DS/GC-versions. The N64 version really is the only one I can get no fun out of.

It has the best battle mode, imo.  And sometimes, that's the only mode I'd play with my friends.  They really screwed it up in the GC version by making the arenas too small, and the DS version's got a mixture of things.  Hooray Block Fort!

I enjoyed the SNES version the most. I guess it's a sentimental thing. I've wasted hours upon hours on this game, still do. But you're right about the GC version, the battle mode was not up to par with the other versions but highly enoyable nontheless in my oppinion.

I don't have a PAL console/carts any more as I sold it all off ... and in some cases gave stuff away ... so I could finance myself into the US carts.

It's okay though ... I'll get one off EBAY in the new year sometime when I have spare money. You're right ... they still fetch a reasonable price on EBAY.

I'll probably get it after I've bought some more cases as I have 30 games needing to be boxed .... that's higher on my priority list anyway.

Did you try Video-Store Shopper for the cases?

They appear to have them.....  hope they are the same as the ones I have.
I just can't order them until I know I will be home to receive the shipment.
