| Restoration of a mystery Gameboy Game |

Hi guys Just thought I'd share a small story and also I have a request... My grandfather recently passed away and my dad has been clearing out his house. My dad has told me he found a game and asked if I wanted it. I was more curious as to why there way a game in the house, my dad tells me it was lying on the floor, near the wall, behind something. It had probably been there for at least 10 years, and probably lost by one of his many grandchildren. Anyway, it was a silver Gameboy game, with a torn label (couldn't tell what it was). I couldn't wait to get home and pop this game in to figure out what game it was. It really felt like a mystery. I plugged it in and found out it was Pokémon Silver! I was hoping the save file would be named after the owner so I could figure out where this had come from, but unfortunately there was no save.... After messing around with it for a while, I figured out the reason there was no save file was because the battery was dead. I felt like I had to restore this game to its former glory... for some reason, and ordered a new battery online. I soldered the new battery on and the game now saves! ;D Anyway, I was hoping someone would be able to make me a replica Pokémon Silver (UK) label, that I could stick on. Also I'd love to eventually put it back in one of those little plastic cases. My long term goal would be to get a cardboard case for it (could possibly buy one from ebay, although feels a bit un-personal for this project). Like I said before I don't know why I want to restore this old game, apart from that I feel I need to. I've cleaned the cartridge up pretty well too and would really appreciate anyone who could help with a label. - Will update post with a pic of progress. |

You (we) can make pretty good label (might be already done) and box, but as you can't print silver it won't look anything like the real thing. |

You're looking for a label like this one but, with a few changes to make it look like PAL region label. Custom Pokemon Silver label |

Thanks guys, Ah so was the original slightly shiny? To be fair id almost want it to look a bit like a replica, although using the UK image as a template. I don't think I have the skills to print/make the box. Any printing experts out there? |

If you replace silver with light gray, then it would be easy to replicate. When I finally get my new computer probably on late December / early January, I can give box making a shot. |
