Yes as long as the converter is good quality (can be pricey).
But at worst still better than S-Video.

I've looked and I see different kinds of scart cables. Is there a specific one what do yall recommend as far a brand of converter and cable?

Nintendo brand ones seem best (JAP SNES & EUR NGC).
