I found some scans of the old Sierra large boxes at

http://sierra.gracenroark.net/index.php

Some are low DPI some are 300 or higher and may be of use.

Webmaster of SierraVault here  ;D

Thanks for the traffic guys.  What's mine is yours - please feel free to use the cover scans from SierraVault for this collection.  In return all I ask is that if you find a scan missing that you might have get in touch me with at alinnenkohl@fusemail.com so I can put it up (if it's missing) or upgrade it (if mine is a crappy low quality scan).

SierraVault is pretty new - I've only been live a couple of months now.  Keep checking back.  That being said one of the first things I did was take the high quality scans of the boxes so what I have is up at this point.

I love your sight Andy but I doubt anyone will have anything you are missing. That sight is amazingly complete.

I was saddened looking over all of the boxes I had owned at one time but tossed out because they took up too much space.

The passing of Sierra and Origin really hit me hard.

Andy, your site is amazing. I wish I still had some of the classic boxes but after years of wear I threw them away. If there is anyway for me to add to your site though, I certainly will.

Hey, thanks guys  ;D

At this point I'd say I'm a little bit less than halfway done.  I've hit the "high points" and most people that come to the site will find everything they ever thought they wanted.  I've still got publicity from 1994-1999 to get up (magazine articles and ads) and a whole bunch of little odds and ends for most of the games.   I'd love to complete the InterAction collection but the six issues I don't have seem to be pretty hard to find.

I've got some ideas for redesigns (magazine ads and articles by year instead of the category form it's currently in, fully dedicated pages to a single game or game series that brings together all of the parts of the site from articles to ads to the hint books to the box cover scan and contents) and I'll probably do some of that last.  Give me another six months or so and I hope I'll agree with your assesments.

Thanks to you guys for giving me some publicity.  For whatever reason I don't seem to be cracking any search engines and I'm not seeing much traffic that way.  What new traffic I do get seems to be from word of mouth and I'm totally ok with that.  That's the better kind of traffic anyway.

I found your site via another of the Sierra fan's forums. I do not recall which one.

I bookmarked it because I love looking back at the games I played so long ago. Honestly I was disappointed with the most recent compilations, they could have done better. Perhaps a more seamless emulation than dosbox and a batch file.

I had Rise of the Dragon and for some reason thought there was a sequel to it. Do your recall any or was that wishful thinking? Similar to a conclusion to the manhunter series.

Sequel to Rise of the Dragon?  God I wish.  I've never really tried to put myself out there as an expert to all things Sierra but I sure never heard of it.  I played and loved Rise of the Dragon when it came out and I sure hoped for a sequel.  For some reason I've got it rattling around in the Sierra trivia section of my brain that Rise of the Dragon actually didn't sell well but I probably couldn't tell you why I have that memory.  Maybe it was mentioned in one of the "Johnny Magpie" rumor colums at the back of InterAction?

Heart of China was a good game as well, if you missed it.  Same interface as Rise of the Dragon.  I liked the Dragon storyline much more but Dynamix could make a pretty compelling adventure in their day.

I might have confused a Tex Murphy game with a sequel to Rise of the Dragon.
