So i have 2 snes consoles...  1 of them is mint with no discoloring anywhere and works perfect first time everytime, the other is solid except a little discoloring just the part of plastic right around the controller plug.

The thing is for whatever reason when i play FF2 on my first snes console the coloring is all wrong in the game and when i enter towns and castles it is all jacked up with different color walls, floors, etc.  but my same FF2 works fine in my other console but thats the one with discoloring so i hate to have it out in my setup just so i can play that game. So i know its not my game its the console but what is making one console run ff2 fine and the other one not?

Possibly dirty connector in the console. Try cleaning it. Otherwise seems like something is wrong board/chip wise.

I would just swap the innards from dirty snes into the clean snes. Problem solved!

yea swapping out the innards was what i was planning on doing. just wanted to see if anybody knew a specific reason why it was happening maybe there was different motherboards or something depending on what year the console was made or something like that.  i dont know...

Such a dumb problem to have... but considering that ff2 is probably one of my top 5 games ever im gonna have to go thru the process of switching out the innards
