Canon Scanner Settings

Alternatively, you can use a copy of VueScan with your scanner. It gives much better options than what the stock software offers, allowing you to fine tune the settings for optimal scans.
I use VueScan for everything I need to scan.

I have the 5420. Why do you have to go and one-up me like that? ;)
You should be happy with that. I haven't had any complaints about my scans. 8) I hope that people would speak up if my scans could be better.

I'll check when I get home, but it might not be tonight as I'm working pretty late and I will be beat by the time I get home. :-\
I saw that you moved. Are you still in the same area? IL side of the river?
