Just found this at a local thrift sore in San Diego - a scene that is usually pretty barren.
I think I overpaid a bit at $0.89, but eh, I think the game is worth it.   ;)

sweet pickup man. super jealous cause I just bought one at a video game convention for 80 bucks. not as good as the first one but still an excellent title.

I got a Wii U for my son's upcoming b-day. After updates, I tried to test it out with a 2 player game on New Super Mario Bros U only to find out that the gamepad was not compatible with the Wii U motion mote for multiplayer. It pissed me off a little because to me there's no reason it wouldn't be compatible other than to force the consumer to buy more Wii motes, but I got over it and purchased these. Now we will all be able to play.

My new stuff so far. Not pictured but I got about 100 ps2 sports games and 60xbox sports games from local game store. They were having buy 2 get one sell, plus member discount, and some other special so it was about $60 bucks for 150ish games. I know sports games are not everyones cup of tea, but it knocked out a whole bunch of ps2/xbox titles I did not have for cheap without having to pay ebay shipping lol. All cib.

Next I got a saturn and platinum gamecube from a segaage member. First saturn I have ever had, no games yet though.

Then from atariage a sweet 2600 jr. This was literally the first video game system I owned. I remember spending days in front of my tv playing it. Yars revenge, barnstorming, empire strikes back were some of my favorite games. I am going to mod it with y/r/w rca outputs.

Last was a box of random games. My first lynx games, 3 cib and the others loose. A few DS and psp titles (dont judge, Im not a jonas brother fan just want it for the collection lol) and Golf! Luckily my NES collection is very tiny, so worthless commons to some are welcome with me :D

I know I can't make fun of the Jonas one, I bought the same game sealed for $2.  Wouldn't be shocked if we got it from the same guy.

The gamepad (with the screen) cannot be used in co-op story mode on New Super Mario Bros U, so you have to have a wii U mote for every person playing co-op. I was a little bitter about having to buy an extra wii U mote when there's a perfectly good gamepad that doesn't work.

I originally thought that 1 gamepad and 1 wii U mote would be enough for 2 people to play co-op story mode, but in fact you need 2 wii U motes for this to happen, at least you do with New Super Mario Bros U. I'm over it and now own 3 wii U motes so we can all play co-op.

You can use it, but you won't be an actual character.  You can place blocks to help or hinder other players. It seems super lame at first, but 4 of my friends and I played through the entire game that way.  We ended up passing the gamepad along after every level because the role of "random block maker" ended up being a blast!

My 7 year old loved placing the blocks and stunning enemies when i played through the game.  It was even more fun when she controlled mario and I tried to keep her from dying using the blocks.  So simple but really entertaining.

Leave it to Nintendo.  Simplest concept on the planet, and it seems super limiting, but it's like finding 3 refrigerator boxes on one tree lawn when you're 8 years old!

I haven't played that yet, but it sounds like the "random block maker" is optional?  If so, that is awesome.  I like ideas like that, but I hate it when they are forced on me.  If it's optional, I love it.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Regarding New Super Mario Bros U, I'll have to try the block game mode, but it still would have been cool to have the option to play the standard co-op story mode with the gamepad. I have the wii u motes now so I'm over it.

Didn't find much at garage sales today, but for $3 it was nice to pick these up. Mario Kart is sealed.

I had $15 in reward dollars at Best Buy so I bought my first new game in several years.

It was between this and Gran Turismo 6.  I'm curious to see how I like it.

Nice price but, I though the game was only a few hours long.

I knew that it was a short game, but I'm a huge Metal Gear fan.  The only reason it took me so long to buy it was because I didn't have a functioning PS3 until just recently.

The back of the disc mentioned replaying classic scenes from Metal Gear Solid.  I didn't know anything about that, so I'm looking forward to seeing what that's all about.
