Finally got Luigi's Mansion!!!  Been after this game for awhile since I am a big Luigi guy.  Gamecube is fast becoming my favorite system...but I play on a Wii!  Maybe I should track down a cube one of these days...

$15 from Craigslist.

uless you want to hunt down a gameboy player keep playing on a Wii. i have both and i use the Wii more for the GameCube games then the cube system

I prefer playing games in their own system, when I play them in another like GameCube in a wii or ps1 in ps2 it feels so wrong :P

I also prefer using the Original GC on a tube TV.  However, it's nice to have option to play through the Wii on a larger HD television.  If you are playing Mario Kart or something with four players, it's nice to have the option to use the larger TV.  Plus Nintendo did it right by including four controller ports and two memory card slots on the Wiis with backwards compatibility.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Well, I have never thought of that, you are right on the four - bigger screen option

It's also the easiest way to play GC through component video...... unless you get lucky and find the cable for under $250.

This right here pretty much.  Lots of my GC games allow me to do progressive scan and it's great.  Only real downside about the Wii is the annoying requirement to always have to have a Wii remote with batteries ready to select the game from the screen before I can play.

Note: Played a short session with Luigi's Mansion and it's quite an interesting (note: FUN!) game.  Not what I was expecting but it's very unique.

Yeah, Nintendo screwed that part up.

Luigi's mansion is a great game.  One day I will get around to finishing it (bought on release along with the cube).  Will just have to find which memory card my old save is on.

I'll prolly be the only one here to pass on SSB. Not my cup of tea, and the hype just makes me want it even less.

Pre-ordered mine from Amazon.ca during the E3 30% discount. Was happy to find it on my doorstep when I got home from work!
