Dude that sucks. Someone always trying to be an asshole. Definitely take it back. Don't leave till you get your money back.

Speaking of assholes, I should be posting yesterday's pickup here which would have been an N64 with two controllers, all cables and 11 games for $50.  The games include Mario Party 1 and 2, Super Smash Bros, Marko Kart 64, Donkey Kong 64, Goldeneye, and 5 more games.  The seller agreed to the price, a location to meet and a time.  Than about 30 minutes later sent me a message and said, sorry man, it's sold.  This happened on a local yard sale facebook page which has specific rules about backing out of sales once everyone is in agreement.

I then later found the same system on the local retro gamer facebook page from the guy who bought it.  He was listing it as his pickup for the day.  Now he is reselling everything for market or higher.

Lots of buying on Nintendo Age and Ebay for me.

Mega Replay? Where are you located pringlesman?

Ya I would report him. We have the same thing around here and that same exact thing happened to me. Except the dude I was buying from never contacted me so I ended up sitting in a parking lot for about an hour. Later that night he sent me a message saying he had to go to work. I was pissed.

I probably won't bother because I don't think the seller has sold there before, and I doubt he will do it again.  I left a comment on the buyer's post on the local gamer Facebook page.  I didn't say anything bad about the buyer or seller.  I just indicated what happened just to make sure he knows , and just to make sure that everyone else on the page knows how he got his good deal.

Another member messaged me indicating that the buyer is known for jumping in at the last minute and outbidding  people regardless of previous agreements.  He is a student at a local university and doesn't work which means he has all the free time in the world to move in on these game sales.  He then sells his games at a local flea market.  His stuff is usually listed for over market value.  He will deal on his prices, but best case scenario, you will be paying full market value even if the game is in really bad shape.

Oh well, it is what it is.  I'm mostly just venting.  I'm not really that mad about losing the sale.  I'm only mad about people who can't follow simple rules set by these local yard sale pages or resellers who list games for so much that they only help drive these crazy used game prices even higher.

Personally, this bubble can’t burst soon enough.  As a collector (and not an investor), it doesn’t matter to me if these values fall.  It can only mean that I will be buying stuff at a lower price.  When the bubble bursts, the only people who lose out are the resellers/investors.
