Just won this off eBay.

Not bad, about $40 or so below market value.  But I sold some of the stuff I got at the garage sale (in my previous post) so basically this cost me nothing.  One step closer to owning all of the PS1 RPGs!   :D

I went to lamestop to swap a white wii u mote with a black one to match the black wii u console, but I saw this LoZ wii u mote there. I believe this is the one that came with the Skyward Sword game. Not a bad trade!

Picked up some good SNES stuff for my new collection:

Decent prices (and one very good price).  The Madden is super common, but I couldn't pass it up for less than $1 complete.  Same with WWF at $4.95

Also got Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 for Genesis for $2 each (cartridges only).  Both have nice clean labels, and don't have the hideous "not for resale" on them.

UPDATE - Nooooooooooo!!!!  I just hooked up my SNES to play my new games, and the first thing I see when I turn on TMNT is a "Williams" logo.  Then, Ms. Pac-Man comes on.  Apparently, someone switched the chips. Looking at the top of the cartridge, I can see one of the notches missing.  Luckily I'm a regular customer at the store I bought it from, so they should believe me when I return it.

you got your gold Zelda controller the same way I got 2 of mine. In all honesty though I returned a plain white one later on and now have 3 zelda Wii Mote controllers. Good Snag.

Megatron I am quite Jealous of your Suikoden II. Its 1 of 3 older games I want before I own all older console titles I want. (Suikoden II, Tales of Destiny and Tales of Destiny 2)

So I've been away for most of the month and I'm only just getting back. I was still going out game hunting, so this will be a decent update for this months haul.

Mel, I still owe you a ton of scans. Sorry for the delay!

Except for the NES games (from Feebay for $6 each), everything is from nearby Goodwill stores. I've now setup a route that I do every weekend to visit 5 Goodwill stores in a 15 mile radius of my home.

This also pictures the very last loot crate I'll receive as I submitted the ticket to cancel my sub just before they charged me, but they didn't work the ticket until after the charge and refused to refund it. Any system that requires you to "submit a ticket" just to cancel is abysmal. I'm glad I actually did like this month's crate though. Even gladder that I cancelled my sub.

Xbox:
Backyard Wrestling
Dark Summit
Outlaw Golf: 9 Holes of X-Mas
Thrillville

PS1:
101 Dalmations II
Driver 2
The Fifth Element (yes, I know this game is terrible... but... MULTIPASS!)

PS2:
Ace Combat 4
Batman Begins
Catwoman
Dark Angel
Mortal Kombat Armageddon (complete with "NFL Licensed Product" sticker and water damaged cover!)
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks
Tetris Worlds
The Simpsons: Road Rage
Scarface: The World is Yours
Smack Down! Shut your Mouth
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Star Wars: Starfighter

NES:
Metal Gear
Spy vs. Spy (Not pictured, I love this game so much though)
Strider

Dude, that sucks. Happened to me once when I was like 12 and bought Tournament Fighters used just after it came out. The previous owner had swapped in Home Alone :(

Speaking of assholes, I should be posting yesterday's pickup here which would have been an N64 with two controllers, all cables and 11 games for $50.  The games include Mario Party 1 and 2, Super Smash Bros, Marko Kart 64, Donkey Kong 64, Goldeneye, and 5 more games.  The seller agreed to the price, a location to meet and a time.  Than about 30 minutes later sent me a message and said, sorry man, it's sold.  This happened on a local yard sale facebook page which has specific rules about backing out of sales once everyone is in agreement.

I then later found the same system on the local retro gamer facebook page from the guy who bought it.  He was listing it as his pickup for the day.  Now he is reselling everything for market or higher.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

You should feel lucky.  We have no local retro game scene.  I have to drive 2 hours to even hit a mega replay.

Lots of buying on Nintendo Age and Ebay for me.

Mega Replay? Where are you located pringlesman?

Ya I would report him. We have the same thing around here and that same exact thing happened to me. Except the dude I was buying from never contacted me so I ended up sitting in a parking lot for about an hour. Later that night he sent me a message saying he had to go to work. I was pissed.

I probably won't bother because I don't think the seller has sold there before, and I doubt he will do it again.  I left a comment on the buyer's post on the local gamer Facebook page.  I didn't say anything bad about the buyer or seller.  I just indicated what happened just to make sure he knows , and just to make sure that everyone else on the page knows how he got his good deal.

Another member messaged me indicating that the buyer is known for jumping in at the last minute and outbidding  people regardless of previous agreements.  He is a student at a local university and doesn't work which means he has all the free time in the world to move in on these game sales.  He then sells his games at a local flea market.  His stuff is usually listed for over market value.  He will deal on his prices, but best case scenario, you will be paying full market value even if the game is in really bad shape.

Oh well, it is what it is.  I'm mostly just venting.  I'm not really that mad about losing the sale.  I'm only mad about people who can't follow simple rules set by these local yard sale pages or resellers who list games for so much that they only help drive these crazy used game prices even higher.

Personally, this bubble can’t burst soon enough.  As a collector (and not an investor), it doesn’t matter to me if these values fall.  It can only mean that I will be buying stuff at a lower price.  When the bubble bursts, the only people who lose out are the resellers/investors.
