I've seen quite a few attempts at this over the years. Hopefully this one follows through to the end

If nintendo is smart they'll back these fan made games and mass produce them or at least allow the folks that make them to. If they provide support and QC it shouldnt cost them much at all i wouldnt think.

I don't see Nintendo ever supporting anything like this, for some reason a lot of old Japanese companies seem so behind the times and instead of seeing this as promotion for their company they feel like they are getting ripped off. I bet it won't take long at all for this to get shut down.

It'll get shut down or the creators will lose interest, just like every other time this project has been presented.

edit: this looks like a flash-based type of game, not a ROM hack.  Lame.  I'd way rather it be a hack so I could eventually play it on actual hardware.

Same here.

There was/is fiery talk about carting rom hack games on one of the sites where Puzzle dude hangs, just don't remeber the address now.

Tell me about it. That would be a dream come true ... and a nightmare to code. Normally due to the complexity of the game and the massive amount of coding i would say it is impossible but I have been astonished by some of the hacks that have come around lately.

ie: Legend of Link
