Video Game Book Club

I've got another question I would like to throw out to everyone.
Should a channel be more than one thing?
Meaning, as Video Game Book Club, we have a clear idea of what we want the main idea of the show to be. We know what we want to focus the channel on. Do you see it as "bad" if we throw in the occasional game chasing, pick up or a let's play video to go along with these? These would all be edited as well, and not just look like something we slapped together in 5 mins. In a sense, we would be filling in the time between episodes with decent content so subscribers wouldn't get bored.
We will put time in to editing these so there will be some production value, and we won't let them overtake the channel. But for content purposes, what are anyone's thoughts on this? We're not going to try to compete with people like The Game Chasers or popular Let's Players who already have a following and can do it way better than we can, just content for content sake.

Something like repro review would be nice, I mean something that would list and tell short talöe of interesting repro games you have found.
But anything interesting and well organized game related is fine by me.

Very interesting idea. Thanks for the input!
I was just curious because it would be a few weeks between actual episodes of what we are focused on, so I didn't want viewers getting bored with us, but also don't want to make it seem like we're a channel that's not entirely sure of what they want to be. If that makes sense.

Okay, I demand you stop stealing my ideas from thin air! :P
I was having a thought to do a podcast like this, based off of HVGN's "Is it really that bad?" series of videos, particularly the Hexen 64 one. It's a super interesting way to dive into a game and dissect it's parts, then continue to iterate on differences of experience. There's a lot of other benefits too, but I'm sure you have a specific sense of what you're trying to accomplish with this.
I'd totally be willing to help out in whatever way I can. It's an idea that I totally can wrap my head around, and would love to see it take off.
