Then the battery on top can't be CR20XX serie as by the name it is 20mm wide (0.1mm tolerance is accepted)

The battery you got the top has to be CR16xx serie.
Will work too if you can mount it, the life is just shorter.

You're right again :) I couldn't see the first digits, so I just double checked my invoice, the small one is CR1616 (used it for GB carts)

I'm getting confused with all these numbers, I'll disconnect and go grab a beer  ;D

Jesus guys, it ain't rocket science.  The SNES carts use a CR2032 lithium cell, without exception.

No wonder GB batteries run out so fast, especially Pokemon games with internal clock.

SNES attery (CR2032) has 225 mAh, where as GB battery (CR1616) has 50–55 mAh, and internal clock eats that constanly where as SNES games have no internal clock so double crappola.

If you're really going to do this id suggest buy a battery holder like this http://www.diytrade.com/china/pd/7845261/Battery_Holder_For_CR2032.html on ebay. I believe i got 100 for 10 bucks  awhile back. Then get regular Cr2032s and you're set. You just have to bend the tabs on the bottom to match up with the old battery holes. I was so bad at soldering at first but thanks to my snes collection I'd say I'm above average now  8)
Snes is Best.
