Video Converting

Man, Its been a while since I got a chance to log on here.

What video converter is the best for converting MKV into a MP4, so I can watch it on my PS3?   

Some of the ones I tried cause havoc on fan subs.  [mSubs] SPT Layzner, I'm looking at you.

I used to use Ripbot x264 to convert videos, it used to work really well for me.  Best part is it's free and has no watermarks or anything.

Not sure how it handles the subs though, but I'd say check it out for sure.
