Original XBox Component and Digital Audio Cables
(1/1)
TDIRunner:
I'm not a big XBox guy, but my understanding is that the original XBox had component video output along with digital audio output through a TOSLINK connection.  I've been looking for a cable that allows for both of these connections at the same time, but I have not been able to find one.  I've found many component cables for the XBox, but they all have RCA analog audio (red and white).

Does this exist?  Is it rare?  It's not another cable like the GameCube component cable is it?  :-\

Part of the problem might also be that it's very hard to search for original XBox accessories without getting XBox 360 accessories included in the search results.  It is also my understanding that these cables are not interchangeable.  If this is wrong, someone please correct me.

Thanks.

P.S.  Spreaking of the GameCube component cable, when is somone going to make a homemade or aftermarket version that doesn't cost $TEXAS?

Is it the "high definition av pack" you're looking for?

I sure looks like it.   :D

I don't know why I was having so much trouble finding something like that.  I still might look for something a little cheaper, but it helps to know that what I'm looking for exists.  And if that is going market price, I can probably live with paying it.

Thanks.
Superchop:
Yeah, the price for them is a bit steep :/  I got lucky and found mine in a bin of random cables for $5 bucks at a flea market so who knows, you might get lucky too now that you know what it looks like lol
