They show with a good degree of confidence that the Retron 5 software uses other software found on the Internet. This other software has a license requirement on it that says any software using it must be distributed with similar terms.

For Hyperkin to end this license violation, they will have to release the changes they made to the software under the same license, and they will have to allow users to modify the software on the Retron 5.

Retron 5 sales will skyrocket once someone alters it to load and save roms.

Well, as is they can't keep up with demand. Allowing them to become ROM machines will only increase the demand.

Someone has found a way to load roms directly from the sd card so its an open emulator now.

Which is what they shoulda just done in the first place. If you're just gonna sell an emu machine, then don't pretend like it's somethin' else.

From what I can tell, it's just a small step above the wii in emulation strength. More accurate, but not fast enough.
