I think I might finally be willing to get the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy reproductions CIB from a site I found. What do I need to know before I do it? Is there one site any more reputable than another?

Tusk makes great stuff, very high quality.  I doubt you'll get an equivalent product for less, so if you're after CIB repros, yeah I personally would suggest him.  But if you just want cart only because you're going to UGC (or Shadowfox case, or Bitbox, or whatever) your games, you can probably find it cheaper.
Attempting a complete NTSC-U NES set.  Sell me your games!

Tusk actually told me about a place as well. Apparently he makes boxes for them. Each site ive seen has pretty much the same price. Hoping i can talk them into making manuals and maps
