Random SNES thought....

As I sit here watching the Alabama/Florida game I just received my box for Super Mario All-Stars. Incredible condition and relatively cheap. The back says "powered up with 16 bit graphics". Here's my thought...If Nintendo had done this with ALL of their best 8 bit games they would have made even more of a fortune. If they did it now they would make a fortune, hard copies, not downloads. I know we had ALTTP, Super Metroid, etc but the actual 8 bit game remade into 16 bit glory would have been incredible. Here's what they should have done...Zelda 1&2, Metroid, Kid Icarus, DRAGON WARRIOR 1-4, a Final Fantasy 1-3 upgrade, best of Capcom, best of Konami (they sorta did Castlevania), Rygar, Wizards and Warriors, and I could go on forever.  If there were any enterprising geniuses out there that wanted to take this on as a fan re-make, I'd buy it. Thoughts...?

Oh so tru but luckily few have been made unofficially:

Dragon Warriors 1,2 and 4 were done as Dragon Quests and have been since fan translated.

Zelda 1 might have been done as hack of BS Zelda, Metroid maybe too.

Zelda BS was kinda a remake of Zelda 1, Zelda 2 was planned bun never made:

Music form it is found in one of the SNES test programs.
Mega Man got on Genesis.

It would have been cool, but it would probably have taken dev time away from new games.

I agree that would be awesome, BUT, maybe, just maybe, they might have flooded the market with too many 16 bit remakes causing people to loose interest.  There's a fine line to having too much of a good thing.  But I guess we will never know.

This, definitely I was going to be one of those who was going to lost interest if in that time that happened.
