Cigarette Smoke Smell

TDIRunner:

I made a small pickup today for a Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance in two colors I didn't have, plus a few games.  When I got home I noticed that everything smells like cigarette smoke.  I didn't notice when I bought everything because we made the trade outside.  I'm pretty disappointed, and I'm thinking about calling the guy back.

Before I do, I was just wondering if anyone has had that problem before.  If so, were you able to do anything to get the smell out?

Retro Deckades:

I once saw a video that recommended wrapping smoke-damaged games and such in dryer sheets. Apparently it takes the smell away after a little while.

Honestly, when you're buying something used, stuff like that should just always be assumed. That's my opinion anyway.

When I buy used stuff, it usually has a smokey or a musty smell, or rarely some kinda stank that I don't know how to describe.

I agree and I'm not angry with the seller.  I just wouldn't have bought it if I had noticed.  The only reason I might call him back is because, based on our conversation, the guy would probably give me my money back.
