question on storing game boxes
kingjohn3:
I think what I've decided to do with my SNES boxes is keep my "Hall Of Fame" boxes displayed on a shelf but all others flatten them out and store them w/manuals in Silver Age comic bags and boards. I've gone back and forth on this for a little while and the only thing holding me up is this...Will keeping them flat eventually damage them? They aren't totally flat now but once I get them all into the comic box they'll be much flatter. Any ideas? It's either stick the ones I don't want on craigslist or do this but I still don't want to damage them

I was asking myself the same question. When I flatten my first box, I had the impression that it was stretching the sides that were being folded. Eventually decided to leave then as is in protective boxes. It does take a huge amount of space. I started to think about unused space where I could store them, crazy places like in the ceiling ;)

If i knew i could sell them i would and get it over with. Craigslist ad would be a quick n easy start but cib collectors are a small niche group so could prove difficult. I dont think $5 each is a terribly high price.

The comic bag thing is not a bad idea!
and I see no reason why it would damage the boxes being completely flat. The only reason why posters/comic/books start getting ware on the edges is because of constant use. If you leave them be and not mess with them they should be fine.

I agree, I don't see any reason why flattening them would hurt them in any way as long as they are stored properly.
