Hello. I was recently directed to this site when I asked on the Nintendo subreddit how to get a game's box and cover art without purchasing the physical game itself. I was beginning to purchase the new Smash Bros game for the 3DS when I realized Smash would be the kind of game I'd prefer to always be available to play as digitally would offer, but I still wanted the box as I am kind of a collector.

So long story short, I was wondering where I could get two 3DS cases with sleeves so I could "have the box" in a certain sense. I don't want to purchase 20 as I'd found on another post. Also, what kind of paper is best used when printing these covers out?

TheBlueEditor:

You can go to store.nintendo and buy single 3DS boxes for a buck each. As for the paper...I use Everyday photo paper/glossy. Gives it a clean look and nice shine.

Is it similar to the genuine product? I want have it look and feel as close to the real thing. If not, it's no big deal. I can take pride in having put it together myself.

Jeff:

I just use regular print paper for my covers and they look fine, photo paper should look great. But your printer and ink will probably be the biggest factor.

sheep2001:

Nope.  Paper is the biggest factor.  A shit printer will produce good prints on good paper. A great printer will produce shit prints on shit paper.

Spend a little more on paper and the difference is amazing.  Semi gloss, or photo matte is the way to go, rather than full gloss.
