Does anyone have an opinion on Sony Trinitron WEGA TV's? I found a 36" for $100. Is that a good deal and does anyone have any experience with them? Thanks |

They're good TVs and that's a good price for the size. Some light guns wont work depending on the model however. If you have more than one old system remember the Nes and SMS use completely different type of light guns. |

Old WEGAs are nice TVs, but if they're flat-screen sets, light guns aren't going to work on them. Great picture, though. |

Someone told me that Mitsubishis are good. I have a 42" Toshiba 1080i that looks decent enough but apparently these old systems, NES through PS1 look better on old sets. Does anyone have any suggestions? |

I have a 27" Sony Trinitron, but it's not a WEGA. It's a flat screen (NOT flat panel, NOT rear projection) I paid $20 for mine on Craigslist. If you are patient, you can get a good deal on one of these because most people just want to get rid of them because they are big and heavy. For the record, even though it's a flat screen, I can confirm that the following light guns work on my TV: NES Zapper SNES Justifier Sega Master System Light Phaser Sega Genesis Justifier Sega Saturn / Sony PlayStation Nyko Cobra Light Gun ***EDIT*** R.O.B. also works on my TV. Not a light gun, but it's worth mentioning since he isn't compatible with all TVs. |
