This is my fantastic pick up of the month.
Never seen such a damaged cart, but it still works! .. except for saving games. I thought it would just require battery change, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Got a big deception when opening it.

Looks like a diode got milked by the battery acid. Anybody knows if there is hope in fixing this cart? Would it be simpler to swap the ROM to a compatible board?
Thanks!

Swapping the rom chip would be harder than to actually clean it up and solder in new parts. if you don't mind me asking, what game is it? If I have it, I cold look and see what is needed to fix it.

The multiplayer component of Destiny is really over stressed by you guys. Playing the campaign you can completely ignore other players. You don't hear them, you don't see each others item drops, you don't miss XP if they help you take down an enemy. They're just there, really not much more then a friendly NPC.

But I hear the other arguments. I'm a little bored with the game too. The story progresses very slowly and is rather convoluted, the enemies don't have much diversity, and everything that I've seen so far I already saw in the beta.

It's not the multiplayer that bothers me. It's the constantly being online that bugs me. What if I want to take the game somewhere else to play that doesn't have internet connection? I pay $60 for a game I cannot play when I want to? And everything is stored on THEIR servers?.... Wow... Bungie meet Blizzard...

They are doing what everyone said they didn't want to happen to the xbox one system...
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

Picked up the Destiny PS4 Bundle at Gamestop using a bunch of gift cards from a $15 off $100 gift card purchase promo at a local grocery store. Not pictured but I also picked up Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut on the Wii U.

It's Soul Blazer. I thought about buying a compatible board (Super Play Action Football) to swap parts (one way or the other).
If you know how to identify each component on the board, that would be appreciated, I could pick them up at the local store (note: I would not be the one fixing it, a friend of mine has those skills/knowledge).

Thanks.

That board seriously isn't that bad. Just looks like it may need some resistors and a capacitor. Oh and a good cleaning and new battery lol.

I'll take a look at my games and see what is going on. Also if your friend is doing the repair, he should be able to figure out what you need.

This actually happened a while ago, but I didn’t think it was worth mentioning until last night.  I was at a flea market and walked around for about an hour.  After finding nothing, I decided to head home.  On my way out, a guy was just arriving to setup his table.  He didn’t have much, except some PS1 and PS2 games.  Most were disc only.  I asked how much and he said EVERYTHING on his table was $0.50 each.  I figured “why not?” and bought all of them.  Then I saw two slim PS2’s sitting there and I asked “how much?”  He said they were also $0.50 each.  I figured there was no way in hell that they worked, but I know a local place that buys non-working PS2s for $10.  So I spent $10 to get two slim PS2s and 18 games.

Well they sat on my table for about a month as I didn’t expect much out of them.  Well last night, just for kicks, I plugged them in and put a disc in.  BOTH STARTED RIGHT UP WITH NO PROBLEMS!  I Couldn’t believe it.  Both are definitely rough and need a good cleaning, but I was able to play games with both of them no problem.  How about that for a good deal?

The other weird part is that one of the PS2s must be a later model because the A/C adapter is built in, even though it’s a slim.  In other words, the power cord does not have a brick in any part of it just like the original fat model.  I never knew they did that.  This model also looks a little different than a normal slim.  The power and open buttons are also a little bigger.

I don’t’ have pictures, but I’m probably going to try and sell them as I now have a total of six PS2s (all properly working).
•   2 original fat models
•   2 slim black models with external A/C adapters (oddly enough, they each take different A/C adapters)
•   1 slim silver model with external A/C adapter
•   1 slim black model with internal A/C adapter

I'll probably sell one fat, and two of the black slim models and keep the rest.  I'll post them in my trade thread.  PM me if anyone is interested.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

From what I remember (as I am not there in the game yet) Bungie has stated you cannot beat the final part of the campaign without a team - meaning you have to find a group of people to do the final level(s) with you.
I sincerely hope he was either exaggerating or there will be a patch.

If that is a compatible title, then there are probably 40-50 other games which are as well.  I've got a half dozen copies of SPAF if you want.  Hell, I'll even swap it for you if you'd like.  I do that sort of thing on a weekly basis anyway ;)

I'm normally one who says you need to post picks (That's the entertaining part) but I have my pickup put away with no pics, sorry.  Got a sealed minty copy of Sonic Spike for TG-16.  They're $10 on amazon right now, and if you buy 6 they come sealed in the original shipping box. I wanted to get a VGA graded game for my collection, so figured this would be the best way to get it.  So yes, I'm going to spend $25 to get a $10 game graded and slabed.

Garage sale! Jewel cased games were 50 cents apiece, the others were a dollar, so 8 dollars for the lot. I'm happy with it, especially Thief 2 and its weird box.

Warcraft 2 Battle.net Edition
Uru: Ages Beyond Myst
Star Trek: The Fallen
Quest For Glory 1-4 Collection
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation
Prince of Persia 3D
Jane's Longbow
The Dig
Thief 2
Titan Quest Gold Edition
