Does anyone here have a great working Dreamcast, no read errors? I am trying to figure out if I got some bad games, or my laser is on the way out. I have a rev 2 DC, which according to the internet is the worst to have anyway. I dont have another, or know anyone/place local I can test these games at. So if someone knows they have a 100% working one I can mail a game too and see if its my dc or game.

I assume you are going to pay for return postage as well.  Are you sure you want to pay that kind of money to test the games?  Are you sure there aren't any local games stores with a unit that you can test with?  Unless you are 100% sure there is no one in your area, I would spend more time searching to find someone local.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Its about a dollar to mail them, 2 bucks both ways. But I would hate to buy a 2nd dreamcast if mine is fine and its just junk games. I just moved where I am about 3 months ago from out of state, so I know absolutely nobody around yet. But thanks.

Does the $1 cost to ship include tracking?  I don't think it would be wise to send it either way without tracking and some type of insurance.  Something to think about.  In fact, I don't think I would be comfortable doing it at all without tracking or insurance.

If you are using tracking, insurance, and include return postage, you can send them to me.  I have two working Dreamcasts to test them on.  One is the original model, the second is the black Sega Sports Edition.

PM me if still interested.

How many games give you read errors?  I'm guessing they're all retail discs correct?  Or are you getting read errors on discs burned on cd-r?  If only a couple games are giving you problems then I'd just say it's the games and not the laser...if the laser were on it's way out you'd more then likely have problems with all of your games.
