Help with Dreamcast collection

wiggy:

Like others have said, Capcom and SNK fighters are a must!  If that's your thing, then the DC is like the Saturn: part 2.  Good SHMUPS too (also like the Saturn).  Some cool quirky titles.  Seaman (or as my co-workerd and I like to call it, "Puddle Buddy"), the fishing games with the fishing controller are a blast, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 (the only 2 Sonic games which I've ever enjoyed), pretty much any of the Naomi ports (i.e. Crazy Taxi).

It's a system which every collector should really consider and it's still relatively cheap to collect for.

I'm not hugely into fighters to be honest.  I seem to lack the commitment to master each one and they tend to get very repetitive to me.  I did have lots of fun with Soul Calibur II back in the day though, so maybe I will get a fighter or two for the Dreamcast.

I guess I'll pick it up for a low investment of $20 and see what happens :)

Your original post did seem kind of odd without the link.  I thought maybe you were just referring to "this site" as like a term for this site that you know of.  It didn't seem extremely helpful lol.

So I got my Dreamcast!  He also had another one for $10 but it was just the bare console.  He said he had already sold all his games which is kind of a bummer.  Tested it out and unless the lens is bad or something it appears to work great!  It didn't know the date though...is there like a battery or something?  I'm doubting it matters much of course.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.  It looks like my Dreamcast library will probably be very limited when I start collecting for it but it's nice to have another console to join its buddies nonetheless.
