Harddrive Recommendations for the Playstation 3
I am wondering what is best Harddrive for the Playstation 3 to replace the existing one as I am currently maxed out of storage space?

Normal laptop 2.5" 500-750GB, 5400 RPM.
Solidstate or higher RPM don't give any advance.
Just make sure that it's not too thick to fit inside.
500-750GB ones should fit fine, but bigger ones might be too thick.

Re: Harddrive Recommendations for the Playstation 3
This is the one I have in my PS3 (

)
It is a little on the pricey side nowadays but I'd rather have 1TB to work with if you have PS+.
Typically any laptop hard drive that is 2.5" and runs at 5400 rpm will work fine in the PS3 (including the Slim and Super Slim IIRC.)

I though that biggest harddrive you could use in Playstation 3 was 1 TB. I find that having a Playstation Plus membership that I have ran out of space on my harddrive really quickly with downloading the Playstation 3 games offered free on Playstation Plus.

Re: Harddrive Recommendations for the Playstation 3
SSD's do make a difference in PS3 gaming, but it really depends on the game. Anything that uses the HDD will be much faster (obviously).
However, they are quite expensive if you want a decent amount of storage.
If you go with a non-SSD drive, I recommend staying away from Seagate. They just aren't as reliable as they used to be.
