It recently been released that Capcom is releasing Resident Evil HD Remaster this year in Japan and the following year in North American for the  PS3, PS4,Xbox 360 and xbox one. It's using Gamecube remake for the HD Remaster.. I will be interesting in buying as I have never played the first Resident Evil game before. I wondered how much the North American PS3 version will cost when it gets released next year. I hope it has a physical media  release instead just a digital copy like Okami HD which was released a few years ago.

I don't quite follow.  Is this an HD remaster of the original Resident Evil or the remake?  Either way, that sounds awesome.  The origianal game is still awesome to this day (I just did a full play through about a month ago).  The remake was also pretty damn good.  My only complaint was that I was never a fan of the GameCube controller for RE games.  I would love the idea of a Playstation version with updated graphics.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I hoping that Resident HD remaster is cheaper then the Japanese version which is listed at $40.

Everything I read says digital only.  I'd still be in for it on ps4 though. ;D

Apparently ps3 will get retail release.

Seems strange they would choose to only do that one as a physical media release.

yeah, That is an odd physical media release. I can sort of see Resident Evil Remaster only having a digital release in North American.

I started a thread on Capcom-unity.com requesting a physical released domestically. So go to the forums=> ask Capcom and supports the thread and voice your desire for a physical copy. It worked for DuckTales Remastered.

It looks like the Asia version of Biohazard remaster has both English and Japanese language with English subtitles.
