So this sort of defeats the purpose of Steam and having the games in your computer to install and delete as you see fit, but as anyone who prefers physical collections may understand, I've made it a goal to burn the backups of all my Steam games and place them in slim DVD cases. I purchased a set of clear slim DVD cases from LDBMart and they're perfect. They have that little pop-up button that makes the discs easy to take out but keeps them sturdy in place at the same time, and even clips for manuals should I ever need them (but Steam backups of course don't require them).

I've managed to fill half my collection so far and thought I'd share them. So far it's actually kept me from downloading more Steam games until I play the ones I have and spurred me to actually play them.

Out of all the Steam games I own, I can count on one hand how many I've actually played. So while I tried to make the covers as game-specific as possible there may be times where some of my covers don't make sense, but that's okay. I like them plain and simple with more artwork than text, so sorry if this doesn't appeal to you.
I know there's  a slim DVD template around here, but I made my own to fit the LDBMart cases properly, and made the templates to have logos for DOS, Windows, Steam, GOG, and Mac games. I can upload that if anyone's interested.

It's a space-waster for sure, but I like doing them. Plus, I get to design the covers how I want--though they're by no means perfect since I started using Photoshop just before this project--and, because the LDBMart cases are clear, I can even print double-sided to add artwork on the inside of the case.

Edit:
"The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator."
It ALWAYS says this for me when trying to upload pics. Why?

In the meantime I can provide links to my imgur where the pics are hosted. Sorry for making you have to click on links.

I think it's really cool that you are doing this.  I've considered it myself but I don't know if it's actually worth the time/money.  I was also considering casing at least the retail games I have gotten for Xbox Games with Gold but those would truly be empty cases...and I'd have to track down 360 cases.

Wow, this is an awesome idea; I've got 103 games on Steam right now, plus a few Origin games; how are you burning these to disk? Or are you just buying the games, and downloading a back through another website?
Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

Steam actually has a back up feature built into the software. This link has more info: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8794-yphv-2033

Origin I'm not sure of. Most EA games I want I get on console so I'm not sure how that game manager works in comparison to Steam.

I'd strongly suggest investing in some BD-Rs, though. The PlexDisc brand is fairly reliable and cheap on Amazon from what I've read. I haven't used them personally, but they have the best price for inkjet printables I've seen in both 25GB and 50GB varieties. BUT you CAN split up the back up install across several discs from within Steam's software, but to cut down on reinstall time I'm sticking to one disc per game.

For example, Max Payne 3 is 30GB so I'm gonna end up putting that on a 50GB disc instead of two 25GB. Most indie games like Super Meat Boy can fit on a CD-R though.

Hey, someone's interested!

Anyway, I've been working on these still but have stopped since I've run out of slim cases. I bought some double-disc slim cases off eBay to store the larger games like Dota 2.

I'm just backing them up and burning the back-ups to discs. I've even made some cases for Windows digital games, such as homebrew and demakes. I'm considering doing iOS games in slime CD cases, though I'm not sure that it's overkill.
