does that wiggle room mean ill be able to keep my games in a dust sleeve and then toss them into this case?

Also with that width difference will the existing covers need to be modified?

Even with the wiggle room the dust sleeve will not fit  :-\ around the lower cart clips the plastic around the clip cups around the bottom part of the carts. (However, it would be extremely easy to slice that piece of plastic off and make it be able to fit the dust sleeves [I believe])

If they cannot fix that 1/4" on both sides.... yes, all art will have to be modified. If this is the case, once I get a proof I'll start making sure I have all the correct dimensions... I plan on making sure the artwork we have will be available by the time the cases are out for sale. I won't leave ya'll hangin'  ;)

My NES games are the only ones not in cases yet. The progress looks awesome. I can't wait for these to get done! :D

Actually, I take that back. My Game Gear games need a home. But I don't plan to ever see cases for those.

Well, in a universe not too far from here, a boy named Shadowfox said that probably he is going to make cases for Game Gear. You just have to be patient because there's a long list of cases coming from that universe first  :P ;D

I had no idea he was going to take the time to do that consider how small the demand would be. Well, cool. I just image they'll be pretty much last on his list.

I was honestly thinking of trying to modify one of the Game Boy cases to see if I could make it work. I'm sure I could, but I'll be patient rather than hack up another case.

Hello. Newbie on the forum. But been following these cases since the beginning. question, can the cases be like the gameboy / current DVD's?, where both halfs of the case are evenly distributed on both sides. Unlike the VHS tapes where it's one sided.
I think it will looks more modern and there's a reason why this is the new standard, right?

I believe this will be the design as it's supposed to be without the lip.

Lipless VHS type case is hard to open and fragile.

You sure you'll have to modify the width just because of a few extra millimeters?

Most of the time when I print covers, it's a tight fit to cram them in there even after shaving OFF a few milimeters when cutting the cover to size. I think a few extra milimeters would actually be ideal.

I'm starting to get stoked about these!!!  ;D I love my factory! So they were able to get the width and height to stay the same as the UGCs (Meaning only the spines will have to be altered... if that!

And! The clips will be able to house the standard and thicker game carts, they are going to use a plastic "push up" to keep the standard carts inplace See photo below. And if guys don't like these push ups on cases for carts like zelda, they will be extremely easy to bend and snap off... and you would never know they were there.  ;D

Push up thingies

And rounded thumb hold to match the Game boy cases. :)

Woot!

Very exciting! Even though I'm waiting for Genesis and Saturn cases, I'm very excited to see these come to life.

It makes me wish I didn't already have about 100 modified UGCs for NES games.

I know it's been asked before, but will you be able to tell a noticable difference between a UGC and your new case when sitting next to each other on a shelf with a printed cover in each?

Looking good. ;)
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."
