I agree with this.  But this really only applies to Sega Master System, Genesis and Nintendo handhelds right?

sheep2001:
No for me, I would prefer it for every system. Snes/n64, famicom, game gear, 2600, colleco, etc, etc.

I know it's never going to happen, but it's my dream. Lol

But other than SMS, Genesis/MD, DS and 3DS... all the boxes were cardboard.  And you're never going to get an exact reproduction of cardboard in plastic.  I think that was the point TDIRunner was going for.

Also yeah, it's a shame about the GG manual size, because the whole "UGC equivalent for carts, DS equivalent for handhelds" thing is great for carts.  Discs are another story, you've got jewel case, dvd case, bluray case and longbox but still... uniformity.

But hey, we can look at GG cases, whatever size they may be, as kinda like the longboxes -- a sega exception.
sheep2001:
I don't want an exact reproduction of the cardboard in plastic (although this does exist with videogameboxprotectors.com) - I said I dreamt of a clamshell the same size as the equivalent cardboard box, so that my boxed and cased games could play nicely together on the shelf.
KalessinDB:
No, I gotcha... I guess I was just thinking the physical qualities of a cardboard box vs a plastic one would look different enough that they'd always be noticeable on a shelf.  Like, if nothing else you still have the sleeve that the TCP-produced cover goes behind giving off a reflection/sheen.

But yeah like you said, pipe dream :D
