I took a shot at stretching an NES cover to fit the new cases, although we never got confirmation on the final dimensions from Shadowfox. The image is a cover that is 4 mm wider in the spine and the NES label kept in its original orientation, which I believe looked better than stretching or scaling it.

On another note! We have started the process for the SEGA ClamShells  ;) we are in the beginning stages BUT are moving it along.

...another NOTE on this note...  ;) We might be releasings Virtual Boy cases here inbetween the NES and the SEGA Clamshell. I only have one question: do the VB booklets fit in the Gameboy case's left side?
These cases will be that red color like the special Nintendo Red DS cases.  :)

From what I have seen, VB manuals are the same size as GB. VB boxes are also the same size as GB and DS cases, so no problems should be had.

Bigger JAP manuals are exact same size as Pokemon ones, but thinner.

Sign me up for everything Sega! Also I talked about wanting Sega Saturn cases in a neogaf thread and like 10 people popped up tagging that they wanted those too. Just for your future consideration ;)

I have but one VB manual, and it fits on the left side of the red DS case with foam that I bought you out of :D

...and yeah, I'd probably buy another set of 15 cases if you get them molded.  The foam's awesome and all, but the legit molded ones are just that extra special.

Yes, Virtual Boy manuals fit in your GB cases without any problem.  8)

I look forward to these developments, and if you have a spare NES case sample when you get them, I'd be happy to compare it to your previous one.

So I have a thought, maybe I'm alone on this one, but when we get to making new N64 cases am I alone in thinking they should be horizontal style rather than vertical? I'm picturing something more along the lines of N-Gage type cases. Idk just a thought that popped into my head that I'm probably alone on but I thought it may be a space saver and you can potentially make the cases much smaller thus saving space as well as money.

I think in order for the manuals to fit, the outer dimensions of the case are probably going to have to be the same as a UGC.  I would prefer they be the same size anyway so that they look better on a shelf.  If you look at what SAG did with their bit boxes, they used the same outer dimensions.  The extra space on the inside was used to store spare memory cards.  I'm thinking that Shadowfox could do something similar.

But at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter to me because I'm not that interested in N64 cases because the UGC fits my needs for that type of game.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I am thinking along the same lines here, for NES, SNES, SFC, FC, N64 (at least) these cases will all be the same outer dimensions. I hate how my NES cases will not match perfectly with the dimensions of the UGC because I just LOVE uniformity! Same issues is in my mind thinking about SEGA clamshells and the SEGA Gamegear cases! I can't keep them the same size! The Clamshell is a bit big for the GG and the GG booklets won't fit in the gameboy style cases!!! Ahhhhh!!!!!

But that is just me...  ::)  ;D

For me I would love it if any clamshell were exactly the same same as their retail counterparts, so that re-cased and original boxes can sit side by side on my shelves.

Does a game pak and sleeve fit in one of these cases? One of my biggest desires for an NES case is the ability to keep my game sleeves on the games while in their cases.

I know most people will see that as overkill and if it was purely for the purpose of protecting the game, I'd agree. However, my reason is so that I keep a game's sleeve with its pak and so I don't have to find a place to store a ton of loose sleeves. Thanks for your reply!
