I just got home, I'm going to try as many carts as posable in the case.

Just based on what i am seeing others say. could the clips be put on the sides rather than top and bottom so the labels aren't damaged during removal and installs? just a thought.

NES, SNES, SGB and 8-Track tapes can be able to fit.
SNES carts are very slightly wider than the NES carts heights. They fit within the clams, but bend them.
I think you should leave the NES shape walls, it prevents SGB carts from going in, but it holds NES better. We can always mod one case.
8-Tacks also fit. I'm sure that is very useful information.

Famicom, Genesis, 32X, and N64 are very close.
Average Famicom carts and Genesis carts are exactly the same size, But both systems have carts that very in height, but not width.
N64 and 32X are very close in size, but are larger than Fami and Gen.

Atari 2600 don't fit at all with ether one. The manuals just barely fit, with the ET tips poster being slightly to wide.

I dont have pictures but went over it last night and again this morning with a buddy from work who we are splitting cases.

1) Love the fact SNES also fits. My buddy at work was real excited cause he has a bunch of SNES and was going to get more UGC's...now he is waiting.
2) NES games are REALLY tight. Removing some clip would help. i was thinking upper left lower right clips possibly. Maybe just remove one side (left or right) so the SNES can still fit in. Do fear scratching on Zelda
3) Tabs are way to small. That was the first thing i noticed. I tried to close the empty case and it didnt work. Took me 2 or 3 times before i hit it. Maybe its just getting use to it
4) Did not think i would like the clear for the covers. Actually makes the covers pop more. Even on crappy paper.
5) I'm torn on the spine. I really think we just need to extend the NES logo but could get by without doing it. I really think it will depend on the person. Make just make a template for these in case the person wants to extend the logo they can just copy thing over pretty quickly.

As for my clip suggestions. I only have normal NES sized games. Not sure how that would affect the special games the case was made for. I leave that to someone with a bigger collection then me.

@larryinc64 - I see what you mean about the SNES carts being slightly wider than an NES game is tall, causing slight bending of the NES frame. I think it could be fixed by moving the top frame slightly without affecting NES games too much. In fact that might help with the tight grip on NES games currently.

The only downside I see for potentially making these cases also SNES cases is that currently nothing holds the SNES carts in place. But maybe with a little tweaking to the NES frame and clips it's possible?
