Hello !

It's my first message here. I apologize for my language but I'm French.

I have new covers of N64 which aren't done :
 - 007 : Goldeneye [PAL] (Players Choice => Silver cover, back in 6 language : GB, D, F, E, NL, I)
 - Coupe du Monde 98 (World Cup 98 but all in French)
 - Excitebike 64 [PAL] (6 language : GB, D, F, E, NL, I)
 - GT64 [PAL] (back is in French and two other language, It seems to be Italian and Spanish)
 - Mario Kart [PAL] (Players Choice => Silver cover, back in 6 language : GB, D, F, E, NL, I)
 - San Francisco Rush - Extreme Racing [PAL] (same front, but back in French)
 - Super Mario 64 [PAL] (2 language : F and another, maybe NL)
 - The Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time [PAL] (French and Gold/Black)
 - V-Rally Edition '99 [PAL] (exactly same as one you consider be Australian)
 - World Driver Championship [PAL] (back in 3 language : F, D, NL).

Cart labels :
 - 007 : Goldeneye [PAL] Players Choice => different cart label
 - Coupe du Monde 98 => exactly the same as World Cup 98 PAL (it's written World Cup 98 !)
 - Excitebike 64 [PAL] => not exactly the same : NUS-NMXP-EUR instead of NUS-NMXP-AUS
 - GT64 [PAL] => different cart label
 - Mario Kart [PAL] Players Choice => different cart label
 - San Francisco Rush - Extreme Racing [PAL] => not exactly the same : NUS-NSFP-FRA instead of NUS-NSFP-EUR
 - Super Mario 64 [PAL] (European, and you have an error on you site because you have Australian version because it's written AUS)
 - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time [PAL] => same as Game Cart Label (Gold/Black)
 - V-Rally Edition '99 [PAL]
 - World Driver Championship [PAL] => different cart label

 :P

Oki thanks !  :D

The problem yet is only to scan : I have no scanner. But my neighbour is doing it.
But some covers aren't very good, do you modify them ?

I'am sending all soon (I hope soon, but it's sure but I don't know when).
Tomorrow I am presenting The Cover Project to http://www.emunova.net/.

(I will sent top later)

Looks great! Checked the dpi, it was 200, but I bet TheValeman may be able to work with that, can't wait for the tops!

Great for a first effort.   :)

Tip for your friend though - dont place boxes against the edge of the scanner as they all tend to have a zone where they cant see/scan. You can see where the edge has been cropped ... very slightly ... but it's noticeable where text butts up to it. Still .... all in all though very workable indeed...

Some like Zelda have a lot of work ... others not too much. So I'll get onto them .... beats doing manuals .... and try and get them up over the next few days.

I agree, I was just playing around with Coup Du Monde '98
rescaled/resized it to 300dpi and it appears to be cleaning up nicely
:)

Cool .... I'll look into the Zelda and Excitebike combo scans ....

Update>   I uploaded the Excitebike 64 cover tonight. Odd thing though .... Windows said the raw scans were 200dpi but when I loaded them into Paintshop Pro it said they were 96dpi. The resolution on the rear tended to make me agree with PS Pro but I created it anyway.

Cant upload a image as imageshack appears to be shagged.

Bleeding heck ...... imageshack finally got their s...t together. Here's ....

Already uploaded the full size version here ....

UPDATE. Uploaded Zelda - Ocarina as well. Man this was seriously crappy ... especially the spine. I ended up fixing the horse as best I could but swapped the Zelda logo out completely, replacing it with the front cover logo as it was too crappy to fix. There's definitely something up with the dpi on these scans ......

Wow... wow... wow !!!
How did you do that ??? It's WONDERFUL !

But, because you don't have good scans, there isn't the good size (covers cute while scanning). Therefore I resized them : http://rapidshare.com/files/11428271/Zelda___Excitebike64_resized.zip.

I rotate too the "N64" (top of the cover), but I think in fact it was normal (you choose to do it), but not the same as real cover.

Do you want some better scans ? I can ask my friend to re-scan them ?

If you want better scans then by all means take them over to your mate and rescan them at 300dpi. Most scanners default to 96dpi [screen rez ] so you have to tell the software that you want it at a given dpi level. If it doesn't save the new settings you'll have to repeat every time your start a new scanning session ....

Also another tip. Open the boxes out completely and then fold flat so you are scanning  the front or rear with one spine at the same time. The good thing is because its flat you get a clean scan .... and only 2 scans required instead of 3 to do the complete box  ;D

I'm happy to redo the boxes with better scans and resubmit then. This site really works on 300dpi to give people the best scan available.
