Fake NES games
segamer:
So, I'm finally trying to acquire a copy of Little Samson for NES. While looking through completed auction, I came across this sold copy of Little Samsom:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Little-Samson-Nes-Nintendo-Taito-/271447919565?nma=true&si=2TV%252Bh5M7TvraUtH6RD8%252B%252BqVbswQ%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Picture from Auction
Now, I have a picture of what I thought the Little Samson chipboard looked like:
Now, did the person who paid $590 for the auction show above buy a fake Little Samson? I noticed it was sold out of Mexico. Might copies of Little Samson sold in Mexico have been printed on a different Chipboard? In other words, is there more than one chipboard to look out for?
MisterDaSausage:
The only Cart or Chip ID i know of for Little Samson is NES-LT-XXX
And as far as i know, the Cart or Chip ID of NES-5A-XXX is for Sesame Street ABC/123
So the person got scammed as far as i know...
BadChad:
Yeah, looks like a board swap out to me. My copy is exactly the same as the second picture. Not to mention the first board is an MMC1 board and not the MMC3 Little Samson actually runs on as you can see in the second picture.
And seeing as how there's no feedback on the auction, my guess is the buyer was completely refunded.
Jeremy1976:
this is good information. I am always a little hesitant on getting the games that are of the upper price point
so which is the correct backing for this

Look underneath the "Made in Japan" text ---- looks like it says "Reproduction Label"
