I am headed out to Las Vegas in October and I wanted to get a jump on planning my trips to find some retro games. If anyone has any good locations or knows of any places out there let me know and I will have to check them out. It's worth mentioning that right now I am only going for Nintendo stuff -- NES/SNES/N64/GC/Wii/WiiU/DS/3DS/GB/GBC/GBA/etc...

If it's someplace you frequent and don't want to give away a location publicly feel free to PM me the location. Don't worry about me treading on your territory as I probably won't buy much at all, and it would only be for a day or so :P It's not like I'll come in and take over haha.

Hey man! There are a few places I check every once an a while.

GameWorld (Located on Meadow's Lane in Vegas)
And Savers (Thrift store chain out here)

I got 6 Gameboy zelda games for a total of $2.99 at Savers. :-) Good place to buy games when they have em..  ;)

I usually frequent Wii Play Games http://www.wiiplaygameslv.com and A Gamer's Paradise http://www.agpvegas.com/ (which is right next to the Pinball Hall of Fame http://www.pinballmuseum.org/ which is a great place to kill an hour or two).

GameWorld is cool, but overpriced (was fun to walk around in, however).  I'm not sure if they have opened in the new location yet (by TRU on Meadow's Lane & Decatur) however.  Wii Play Games seemed to have decent prices (off Nellis if I remember) .  Gamer's Paradise (Tropicana & Spencer) and some place on Sunset & Pecos (I forget the name) are over priced but GP is definitely the better of the two.  I'm disappointed in the local scene here but you can find stuff at local thrift stores occasionally.  I managed to get n64 goldeneye and ocarina of time for $2 each but haven't found anything worth while since.

There is also a spot called BuyBacks right next to Savers on Decatur & Sahara (& one in Henderson but I've never checked it out) that is overpriced on a lot of games (super mario kart for $60) but sometimes they have decent prices; just gotta look.  There are two Zia's as well (around the corner from BuyBacks and another off Eastern & Flamingo) that sometimes have decent retro games but I haven't spotted much recently.  Lastly there is a spot called Game Repair on Tenaya & Cheyenne that has a decent selection but i've never paid their prices.  I've pretty much bought all my retro games off Craigs or ebay; always seem to be significantly cheaper than what I find in the local shops.  But good luck, let us know what ya' think!

Wow! Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, the local shops around here like to charge $10-$15 over ebay prices which is ridiculous. And we only really have 1 :-/ the Goodwills here have given some decent finds but nothing lately, as I'm assuming the flea market resellers swarm them daily.

Now I gotta save my money so I can blow it in Vegas ... but not on slot machines :) haha
