SNES), that they think RGB thru an SCART connection or a Sony PVM or whatever is a better picture than YPbPr over component on an equivalent quality TV. I for one cannot see a difference, but more power to the ones that can I suppose. --- End quote --- Well there is a difference between 240p/480i Component (YUV) and RGB...sometimes the color can be off, but in my RGB to YUV transcoder, I fixed that where the colors are correct...so it's pretty good. Also an RGB signal is the pure Standard Def signal with no transcoding what so ever, but YUV is good enough, and if you have a CRT with Component Inputs, you can use it. |

Mine was selling my Megadrive and 32x. Traded it in at CEX (the main used game store in the UK) in about 2001. Hardly used it then so didn't really care what I got for it. There was about 50 or so complete Megadrive games with it but I'm not really that bothered about losing those. What I do regret selling was the 32x. I was a massive Sega fanboy then and really wanted to 32x to do well and therefore bought all the games I could. I had Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, Knuckles Chaotix, Darxide, Cosmic Carnage, Kolibri, Fred Couples, Doom, Mortal Kombat 2, MotoCross, After Burner, Space Harrier, Stellar Assault.... The're the ones I can remember, probably had more (I remember I got Virtua fighter for Xmas the year it came out. Got up at 4am that xmas day and spent literally 6 hours solid playing it)!!! Anyway, I traded the whole lot in (games, consoles etc) for about £50. They didnt even want the 32x console as they said they didnt sell them so gave me £3 for it! Ironically, one console I haven't got now is a 32x as I just cant find one for what I call a reasonable price here in the UK. Unboxed ones with cables go for about £50 upwards on the bay. More with spacers and RF shields. :( |

For me it isn't that difficult to find one, but I've never seen one for less than $100. That is a little high considering the quality and quantity of games available.... --- End quote --- price. its seems odd to say that now, considering the original retail price... anyway, they show up on ebay and some retro stores, but never for less than £100-150 |

Taking a break for about five years. When I stopped collecting prices were dirt cheap. And when I started back up, well.... you know. :-\ |

About 12 years ago i was renting a home out from a family member when i was barely 20 and i stored all my old nes, snes and sega games and systems i grew up with in the closet by the front door area. Had tons of stuff specifically rpg's and was all mint but missing most boxes. When i moved out i forgot to clean out a few closets including that one and when i came back 2 days later a cleaning company already came and my entire collection was gone. One of the dumbest things ive done in my entire life... |
